What is Agile HR?
The increasing desire to be agile as an organization and as a person has led to a substantial renewal of what we traditionally understand HR to be and is called: Agile HR. Agile HR has four levels: organization, department, teams and instruments. The various traditional instruments that HR uses, need to evolve in order to support these levels in becoming more Agile. In the video below, we explain what Agile HR is and what role HR has in an agile organization.
What will you learn?
The online Agile HR training is packed with exercises and real life cases straight from our trainers’ own experiences at various organisations. During this online training you will experience several elements of our ICAgile accredited Agile HR training. After completing the online training you will have acquired knowledge of the basic principles of Agile HR, agile working and the Agile philosophy. You will have learned how to become more agile as an HR department.
Day 1: What is agile and why should I care?
We start the day by emerging ourselves into agile and the agile mindset. What does thinking Agile, feeling Agile and acting Agile mean?
Day 2: Agile HR department (frameworks Scrum, Kanban and Agile Portfolio Management)
Our ability to respond to business demands in a fast manner is getting increasingly more important. On day two, we will explore different agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban and Agile Portfolio Management.
Day 3: Agile HR Tools
HR has many tools that can be used to enable the agile mindset and can help evolve agility within your organization. We will practice with agile HR tools like learning & development and compensation & benefits.
Day 4: Agile Mindset in practice (HR department)
We will end our journey with a deep dive in the Agile mindset. What is your Agile mindset? Discover ways with which you can help others develop an agile mindset. And how can you make a start with creating an Agile culture within your own organisation?

Together with a group of international HR professionals, we will journey together through the wonderous world of Agile HR and how you can apply/use it in your own context. The online training has an international focus and is all about inspiration, exploring and getting started with Agile HR.
Why Organize Agile?
As coaches, advisers and trainers, we collaborate with organizations on a daily basis. An important part of our work is coaching HR departments and CHROs to innovate and improve their organizations. For example, we’ve helped the largest retail company in the US to redesign their performance management. And we support the Management Teams HR of a large telecom organization in the Netherlands with the management and prioritization of HR projects and activities. We regularly organize meetings around the Agile HR theme, such as the Agile HR Beach Party, and through our Meetup group Agile HR Lab and Linkedin group Agile HR.

Agile HR is a topic we actively contribute to. Some examples:
- The Agile HR Manifesto is a foundational document to the Agile HR movement, of which Organize Agile was one of the creators
- Our Dutch colleagues wrote the book ‘Agile HR’, now in its 6th edition and nominated for Management Book of the Year 2018
- The international research report ‘State of Agile HR‘ is conducted annually by Organize Agile and the HU University of Applied Sciences
- We consult on Agile HR topics at Fortune 500 clients, as well as smaller organizations
After completion of the training, you will receive the internationally recognized ICP-AHR certificate by the International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile).
