Content Introduction Agile HR

The e-learning consists of seven different topics, in which we take you step by step into the basic principles of Agile HR.

1. What is Agile?

Using an agile perspective, we take a look at the different HR processes. The first chapter of the e-learning therefore focuses on the most important principles and preconditions of agile. We will talk about the history of its development and share some experiences.

2. What is Agile HR?

The increasing desire to be agile as an organization and as a person has led to a strong renewal of what we traditionally understand by HR and is called: Agile HR. Agile HR consists of four levels: organization, department, teams and instruments. In this chapter we explain what Agile HR is and what these four levels mean for HR in an agile organization.

3. Supporting agility within the organization

In Agile HR, we no longer talk about functions, but about roles. Roles that can be continuously adjusted depending on what is currently needed in the organization. In chapter three we tell more about these roles, show examples and give you practical tips for implementing them.

4. Supporting self-organizing teams

A self-organizing team is able to provide valuable services, completely independently. They do this altogether with organizing their own team capacity and the associated financial affairs. In other words, they are able to organize themselves to get the work done. In chapter four we will further discuss these self-organizing teams and the preconditions that are necessary for high sustainable performance.

5. Resources for HR departments

There are several ways to organize the work within the HR department. For example, you can use Scrum to manage your projects or Kanban to visualize your daily work. For coordinating different projects and programs or entire departments, Agile Portfolio Management (APM) is an excellent method to gain insight into the current work being done. In chapter five we tell you, in detail, how APM works.

6. Redesigning the HR process

HR processes have a lot of influence on the agility of the organization. Redesigning these processes from an agile perspective can have a positive and significant influence on, among other things as: recruitment & selection, reward & assessment and learning & development. In chapter six, we look at these traditional instruments from the agile perspective.

7. Self-assessment

We finish this e-learning with a self-assessment where you can check yourself what the current status of Agile HR is within your organization. Based on a number of questions, you will receive personalized tips for the next steps towards an agile HR.
